Ashley Garber
Over the 20+ years in the field of listening and spoken language, I have relished many professional opportunities: serving as a private therapist in Venezuela, joining a team in a large cochlear implant program, running a solo practice and then directing a small clinical practice. These days, I am proud to focus my work on mentoring professionals who are just starting down the Listening and Spoken Language path and to engage in learning with schools and other programs who desire better outcomes for their children. I particularly love sharing practical strategies tailored to each situation and each professional. My goal for every presentation or workshop that I create is to help professionals develop skills in addition to knowledge.
I received my Listening and Spoken Language Specialist certification (Auditory Verbal Therapist) from the AGBell Academy of the Alexander Graham Bell Association in 2007. I am proud to mentor other professionals toward their own certification and also to develop courses and materials to assist any professional who needs an extra boost in their practice.
No matter how and where I have practiced over the years, it has always come down to joy in the outcomes: hearing a child’s first “mama”, seeing a former client receive an award for her 4th grade oral presentation, and watching my students graduate high school and college and move on into life. And now, I find that same joy watching other teachers and therapists create those moments with their own clients and families.
How can we work together? Please reach out if I can share in that journey with you.
